Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Heartwoven (heartwoven.org), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

2. The Service

Heartwoven is an AI-assisted personalized letter and book creation service. We help you craft a heartfelt letter for a wedding (or similar occasion) by:

1. Guiding you through 5 reflective questions and a style preference.
2. Generating a draft letter using AI.
3. Allowing you to edit, regenerate (once), and personalize the letter with 1-3 photos and captions.
4. Optionally rendering the final letter into a hardcover or heirloom-edition physical book printed by our partner Lulu.

3. Your Content

You retain full ownership of the content you provide (conversation responses, edits, photographs, captions) and the final letter generated for you. You grant Heartwoven a limited license to:

• Store your content to provide the service.
• Process your content via the AI providers listed in our Privacy Policy.
• Transmit your shipping address and PDF to Lulu for physical fulfillment.

If you opt into our Showcase Program (see Privacy Policy §4), you grant Heartwoven an additional, withdrawable license to display anonymized excerpts.

4. AI-Generated Content

The letter Heartwoven generates is a starting point, not a guarantee of quality. We strongly recommend you edit the letter to make it truly yours — our research shows hand-edited letters resonate more deeply with recipients.

You are responsible for reviewing your letter before printing. Once printing has begun (24 hours after order placement for physical tiers), changes cannot be made.

5. Photo Quality

For physical printing, we recommend photos with a long edge of at least 1500 pixels. If you choose to print a photo below this resolution after our on-screen warning, we cannot offer a refund for that photo's print quality.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Upload photos you do not have the right to use.
• Use Heartwoven to create content that is hateful, defamatory, sexually explicit, or violates the rights of others.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or systematically extract our prompts or AI outputs.
• Resell or redistribute Heartwoven-generated content commercially without permission.

We reserve the right to refuse service and cancel orders that violate these terms.

7. Payment and Fulfillment

Payment is processed by Gumroad. By placing an order, you agree to Gumroad's terms.

• Digital ($29): Delivered via email within 1 hour of payment.
• Hardcover ($79): Printed by Lulu and shipped to your address. Estimated production: 5–7 business days. Shipping: 7–14 business days depending on region.
• Heirloom ($149): Same as Hardcover, with a matched second copy. Both books ship together.

9. Limitation of Liability

Heartwoven is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Heartwoven after changes constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Note: Heartwoven plans to migrate jurisdiction to Delaware, USA upon US LLC registration; this clause will be updated at that time and existing customers notified.
